Anchiskhati Basilica

Dating back to the 6th century, it is the oldest surviving church in Tbilisi and a splendid example of early Georgian ecclesiastical architecture.

Reviews in Anchiskhati Basilica

The tour is very rich and diverse, striking an excellent balance between gastronomic and cultural aspects. Shoti bread with homemade cheese and wine tasting provided strength for a walk through Sighnaghi and the fortress wall. The relief of Kakheti with the Alazani Valley against the backdrop of mountains is very different from the north, so here too it is definitely worth a visit. At the winery, they explained in detail about the Georgian wine-making technology and generously treated us with wine and chacha :) Our (very charismatic) guide Beso told us about the customs and traditions of the region, mixing it with his stories and life experiences, which made the tour even better!

Tbilisi - See and Feel

November 12, 2024

We went on an excellent tour with a wonderful guide, we can confidently say with the best guide in Tbilisi, Georgia. Malkhaz has a very interesting way of presenting information, throughout the tour we felt like we were chatting with an old friend! With him on the tour, we not only touched on the history of Tbilisi, but also experienced true Georgian hospitality and love for people! We will definitely visit other tours with Malkhaz!
