Old and True to Traditions Tbilisi
About this experience
In Tbilisi, it is very clear that time can stand still, and for some reason this is not surprising. The hustle and bustle disappears somewhere, along with it disappears the rush in thoughts and actions, a measured pace emerges, a certainty that everything will get done, and even a certain indulgence towards everything. I will help you decide how to start your day in Tbilisi and how to end it. I will tell you in advance - end, of course, with wine in a good place and in good company!
What to Expect
- We will walk the streets of the Old City with its wooden carved balconies and carpet shops. You will see the sulfur baths - a special place from which the city once began.
- We will take a ride on a cable car up to the Narikala Fortress, which is located right above the baths. Then we will walk along Sharden Street to the Sioni Cathedral and visit the oldest stone church in Tbilisi, Anchiskhati.
- The district where the rich and famous once lived deserves special attention, with architecture that any European city would envy! Where every entrance, courtyard, every curl on the grilles and gates of old houses hide many truthful stories, beautiful, poignant, criminal, sometimes amusing, sometimes tragic. All the famous writers, artists, composers, and even emperors - their names are closely intertwined with the fate of the once rich and beautiful Tiflis, and are forever inscribed in its complex centuries-old history.
- We will also visit the Rezo Gabriadze Theatre, where we will remember old funny and slightly sad Georgian movies.
- And, of course, I will tell you a lot of interesting things about Georgia, its traditions, about the brilliant king David the Builder and his no less legendary granddaughter Queen Tamar. And I will also suggest where you should definitely go on excursions and how much it will cost.
- I will show you cozy wine shops where you can buy wines for the evening and take them with you, Tbilisi shops where unique scents of spices and Georgian diversity can be found. I will tell you about the Flea Market at Dry Bridge, which is a kind of open-air art gallery.
- Finally, we will peek into a small restaurant, where I will recommend you the most delicious Georgian dishes, and I will also teach you how some of them should be eaten. Yes, this is also a special kind of science.

Excellent erudite and friendly guide. She showed both iconic and hidden places from tourists' eyes. She advised and helped to organize leisure activities beyond the tour. Definitely recommend Ayshat.
