In Tbilisi, there is a special charm...
About this experience
To fully understand the charm and soul of Tbilisi, this paradise of the Caucasus, as Isadora Duncan wrote, - you need to walk around the city. During this walking tour, you will stroll through the center of Old Tbilisi and see the main sights. You will visit the places that inspired and hosted the famous creators of the distant and recent past, and learn about their history.
It is here that the great director Georgy Tovstonogov was born, where the first works of Lev Tolstoy, Nikolai Gumilev, Maxim Gorky were written. It was here, on the stage of the opera and ballet theater, that Fyodor Shalyapin sang for the first time. The story of the love between the Georgian artist N. Pirosmani and the French singer Margarita, which inspired the words of the song 'A Million Scarlet Roses' by A. Voznesensky, developed right here in Tbilisi.
What to Expect
We will start our tour from Freedom Square, the main square in the city. We will walk along Rustaveli Avenue, where the past and present collide: along the entire avenue stretches an old fortress wall that once protected the city. Right above the wall, you will see small wooden houses with truly Tbilisi carved balconies where residents love spending their free time, having feasts, and simply relaxing.
You will glimpse the famous tower of Rezo Gabriadze Puppet Theatre, where a small performance is shown every day at 12:00 and 19:00, and every hour an angel comes out and strikes the bell. Visit the oldest church building in Tbilisi — the 6th-century Anchiskhati Church.
After walking through the narrow streets of the Old Town, resembling a cobweb, we will reach the Bridge of Peace, considered one of the 13 most beautiful bridges on the planet. We will visit the modern Rike Park and then take a ride on the Cable Car to admire the city from above and visit our city's most famous fortress - Narikala.
From here, passing through small courtyards rarely visited by tourists, we will descend to the most romantic place in Tbilisi — Bath District to admire a small but picturesque waterfall. Of course, you will also walk through the Sulfur Baths quarter, where the first Tbilisi was born in the 5th century.
If you wish, you can visit a 17th-century cellar and taste several varieties of wines made using ancient Georgian technology.
Georgia has been and continues to be a muse for many poets, writers, artists... 'About Georgia - wiping tears, you are the second cradle of Russian muse,' Yevgeny Yevtushenko wrote. Who knows, after visiting the capital of Georgian mountains, maybe you will create a new masterpiece...

We walked around the historical sites of Tbilisi with Vano - he is well known and respected by everyone. He told us the history of Tbilisi and Georgian culture without embellishments, showed us interesting and significant places. He recommended other places to visit beyond the tour program.

Excellent guide Vano. It turned out that we had a private tour 😁 Vano was top-notch. He told everything: clearly, interestingly, answered all the questions. He made us fall in love with Tbilisi. I advise everyone to take a tour from Vano, well done.
