Daily Walk in Tbilisi
About this experience
Wandering through the atmospheric streets of Tbilisi is a must! Make it as interesting as possible with an enthusiastic Tbilisi guide. Choose one of the two routes or both for a complete introduction. You will see ancient buildings, immerse yourself in the city's history, and hear its legends. Learn about the national cuisine and winemaking. At the same time, you will orient yourself in Tbilisi and receive useful tips.
What to Expect
We have prepared two rich routes in Tbilisi - they alternate every other day. Both walks take place in the picturesque Old Town and start at Freedom Square (easy to reach from any part of the city).
Blue Route - for the first acquaintance with Tbilisi
For you, city chronicles, stories about locals, symbol-sights of the Georgian capital, and notes about the hospitable country (we won't forget about wine). You will explore the whimsical Puppet Theater Rezo Gabriadze and balconies on the fortress wall. Walk through Rike Park and the Bridge of Peace (why does it lead from a dark past to a bright present?). You will see ancient temples: Sioni Cathedral, Metekhi and Anchiskhati Churches. Find the tamada monument (why is it standing here?) and sculptures based on Pirosmani's drawings (remember the million scarlet roses?).
Red Route: hidden spots, eras, and confessions of Tbilisi
You will also visit iconic sights - Sulfur Baths, Narikala Fortress, the Ingorokva gorge with a waterfall - but we will walk through narrow non-touristic streets. You will peek into a typical Tiflis courtyard and a real entrance, walk along a street-staircase, and not miss the cult street art. Meanwhile, you will trace Tbilisi's path through the centuries and learn which famous personalities visited the city in the 19-20th centuries. And a special topic will be the diversity of confessions in Tbilisi.
