Khachapuri, chashushuli, pelamushi: creating magic of Georgian cuisine
About this experience
The perfect cheese pie and cornbread from the oven, hearty spicy soup and ancient grape dessert - you will cook authentic dishes of national cuisine in an authentic setting. You will acquire recipes 'firsthand' and taste with a glass of wine what you have prepared. And it will turn out incomparably - it’s never the same elsewhere. And come with friends - it's more fun together!
What to expect
We will meet in Kutaisi and head out of the city, where you will learn to cook several traditional dishes - Georgian and local, Imeretian.
- Our cuisine cannot be represented without khachapuri. The most common type of this aromatic pastry comes from Imereti. How to make the right dough and juicy filling? You will be told and shown at the master class.
- You will also bake cornbread mchadi on kech (clay skillet). In Western Georgia, they are consumed as bread. And how well they go with eggplants and walnuts! Check it out ;)
- The gastronomic program will be complemented by preparing another dish - fragrant chashushuli with chicken, herbs, and spices.
- We will not forget about sweets. You will learn to create the magical pelamushi dessert. You will find out the secret of this favorite Georgian dessert when we meet.
- And all this would be incomplete without the sacred drink of our land - wine.
