About this experience
Khachapuri, hot khinkali, and aromatic wine - get ready to taste the true flavors of Georgia! In this culinary masterclass, you will prepare cheese-filled boats following the ancient Adjarian recipe and shape khinkali just like they do in the mountain villages. Colorful legends, stories, and tales of Georgian traditions are included.
What to Expect
Authentic Adjarian Khachapuri
We will settle in a cozy house in the heart of Tbilisi, where under the guidance of certified chefs, you will prepare the iconic Adjarian khachapuri according to the old recipe of Adjarian villages. Step by step, you will make the famous cheese-filled boat-shaped bread with a yolk in the center, a dish known by all in Georgia but done right by only a few. You will learn about the differences of true Adjarian khachapuri, and dive into the history of this Georgian dish. And then, with an appetite, you will enjoy the freshly-made khachapuri, accompanied by a glass of delicious homemade wine.
Preparing Authentic Khinkali
After the feast, we will move onto the second part of the masterclass. This time, we will be preparing khinkali - just like the mountainous Georgians to the north of Tbilisi do. You will learn how to knead the necessary dough, and master the art of making truly Georgian khinkali. The cooking process will be accompanied by colorful stories and engaging tales about traditions, residents of Tbilisi, local life, and national cuisine. And of course, in the end, you will taste the khinkali you prepared with your own hands.
