About this experience
You will get acquainted with the color of local life and the unique atmosphere of old Tbilisi, where grapevines peek out from courtyards, figs fall under your feet, and the scent of freshly baked bread lingers in the air. I will gladly tell you how the city was born, show you its iconic places, and share practical tips. At the end, you will climb to Narikala Fortress to see the capital from a bird's eye view and fall in love with Tbilisi forever!
What to Expect
Immerse in History and Ancient Architecture
The historical part of old Tbilisi will amaze you with the beauty of its architecture: all the houses have been preserved from the past century, some of them have been completely reconstructed and look stunning. The tour will start with a visit to the Holy Trinity Church - in Georgian "Tsminda Sameba". Then you will enter the Metekhi Church - a famous ancient monument of the capital, which unfortunately almost did not survive after the conquest raids on Georgia, but vividly reflects the country's complex history. The observation platform on the territory of the church will delight you!
Wide Soul of Tbilisi
In the second part of the walk, you will head to the district of sulphur baths, where the construction of Tiflis began, and pass through Maidan Square to the Sioni Church. I will tell you about Anchiskhati, the oldest church in the capital, and show you the unusual building of the Rezo Gabriadze Puppet Theater. At the end of the tour, you will take a cable car ride up to Narikala Fortress and see an unforgettable panorama of old Tiflis. I will help you not only immerse yourself in the city's history and architecture but also feel the special atmosphere of the capital of Georgia, understand the mentality of the locals, and fall in love with Tbilisi at first sight. Be careful - after the tour, you will want to move to Georgia!
After the tour, we will visit a wine boutique: here you will be offered to taste signature wines from famous winemakers in a pleasant atmosphere in a cool room.
