About this experience
Signagi is called a little Italy: its architecture is so majestic and its winding streets are so romantic. Here you will fully enjoy the beautiful view of the Alazani Valley, raise a glass of local wine, bake Georgian bread shoti, and taste delicious cheese. Welcome to Signagi!
What to Expect
Kakheti Fortress Wall and Local Market
Small but very cozy, Signagi will charm you with its unhurried pace and pastoral landscapes. You will see the Kakheti fortress wall, once protecting this place from invaders, and peek into a local's cellar to taste homemade Kakheti wines. And then visit the market, where you can buy authentic Kakheti churchkhela, tkemali, spices, dried fruits, and cheeses.
Bodbe Monastery and a Walk Among the Trees
Arriving at the Bodbe women's monastery, you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the Alazani Valley and the Caucasus mountain range. This picturesque place was once home to the great Nino. Bodbe is of great importance not only for the Orthodox Georgian faith but also as one of the world's major shrines. The monastery's territory exudes a special enchanting atmosphere of peacefulness, so we will take a leisurely walk around the temple among the trees and flowers.
Wine Tasting and Bread Baking Masterclass
At a working winery, you will taste the most popular varieties of Georgian wines: semi-sweet white Chkhaveri, semi-sweet white Tvisi, semi-sweet red Kindzmarauli, dry red Saperavi, and other wines popular in Georgia. After the tasting, we will stop to watch how Georgian shoti bread is baked. You will observe bakers kneading the dough, shaping it, and skillfully placing it in the tone. And you will taste another hot, fresh, fragrant shoti with sheep, lamb, goat, and cow cheeses.

Tasting and master class are included in the tour price.
