A one-day wine tour in Kakheti will allow you to better know and understand the ancient culture and history of Georgia, feel the Georgian spirit and rural color. What to expect
Wine Museum tour
Start the tour with a visit to the wine museum in Tbilisi: you will hear a lecture on wine production, learn the most interesting facts about Georgian winemaking, immerse yourself in the ancient history of this magnificent beverage. The museum also offers a professional tasting of one or several types of wines, both homemade and production, as well as a master class on making Georgian sweets.
Birthplace of Georgian wine
Then we will head to the wine region of Kakheti, considered the birthplace of Georgian wine. You will explore wine cellars, taste wines from producers, visit a winery in the city of Kvareli and the world's largest wine repository. You will learn who produces wines in Kakheti, how long Georgian wine is stored, how this drink has been historically linked to the life and religion of Georgia, and much more.
Historical and natural landmarks of Kakheti
We will visit the main natural and cultural attractions of Kakheti: we will stop by the city of love Sighnaghi and admire the view of the Alazani valley, visit the lakes of Kakheti surrounded by mountain ranges. You will see the palace of Irakli II in Telavi, the 4th-century Bodbe Monastery where the relics of St. Nina rest, as well as the unique monastery complex of Nekresi. I will tell you about the history and development of Kakheti, about the traditions and culture of the Georgian people. And on the way back to Tbilisi, we will drive through the beautiful Gombori Pass gorges.

An excellent tour of Kakheti. Georgiy showed both the factory winery and the homemade one, explained and showed everything in detail. Georgiy sang songs at first, and on the way back, we sang, having tasted quite a bit))) A wonderful day in a cozy company! 100% recommend.
