About Kutaisi with humor and love!
About this experience
You will see all the most interesting sights of Kutaisi: the Colchian fountain, the royal residence, the Botanical Garden, the fortress, and the ancient temple. I will tell local legends in a fun way, help you feel the homely comfort of Kutaisi, and introduce you to the local cuisine.
What to expect
Symbols of Kutaisi
We will start the walk at the Colchian fountain, where I will share the famous legend of the Golden Fleece with my inherent Kutaisi humor. You will hear who and how plans to travel the path taken by the Argonauts and who among the enthusiasts will reconstruct the ship Argo. Next, you will visit the residence of the last king of Georgia, make a wish at the 600-year-old plane tree, walk on the lovers' bridge, and learn interesting stories associated with it.
Botanical Garden, market, and ancient fortress
You will explore the grand temple and the ruins of the royal palace on the territory of the ancient Kutaisi fortress. Enjoy the magnificent city panorama from above, visit the local market full of juicy fruits, aromatic spices, nuts, and dried fruits. The walk will continue in the Botanical Garden, where you will meet the Colchian pheasant, who loves to pose for photos.
Kutaisi by taste
Kutaisi is famous not only for its history and nature but also for its delicious drinks, food, and cheerful, soulful people. You can listen to everyone's favorite song, drink tasty coffee with vanilla bagels, and also feel the 'taste of childhood' of every Kutaisi resident by tasting Georgian natural lemonade with Imeretian khachapuri.
