To Mount Sinai and the Monastery of Saint Catherine

What to expect

• On a comfortable car, we will head to Mount Sinai. It is where Moses spent 40 days and nights and received the tablets of the Covenant, on which, according to the Bible, were inscribed the 10 commandments.
• Then, with a guide-bedouin under the starry sky, we will begin a 7-kilometer ascent. The final part of the path - 700 steps. According to legend, those who pass this path are absolved of all sins. Moments of anticipation - and you will see the enchanting sunrise.
• Descending from the mountain, we will reach the Monastery of Saint Catherine. There we will explore the olive grove, the Burning Bush, and Moses' well, visit the basilica of the Transfiguration, and the bell tower. The monastery is famous for its vast collection of icons and manuscript library, second in historical significance only to the Vatican Library.
• During the trip, the guide will talk about the main relics of Sinai, the Great Martyr Catherine, and the history of the monastery. He will explain why the temple was protected by the Prophet Muhammad himself and why Mount Sinai is sacred to the three monotheistic religions.
