About this experience
The journey to the top of Mount Sinai is, to some extent, a transformational journey even for those who are not religious. On this excursion, you will travel this path with a local guide and enjoy a picturesque sunrise. After that, we will visit the Monastery of St. Catherine, see the place where the exodus of the Jews from Egypt began, and discuss important events described in the Bible.
What to expect
Ascend the mountain
By car, we will head to Mount Sinai, where Moses received the Ten Commandments from God - along the way, I will share curious facts about this place. Then, together with a Bedouin guide, you will walk 7 km and ascend to a height of 2300 meters above sea level. It is said that those who sincerely repent of their sins will be forgiven during the ascent. But even if you are not a believer, embark on a journey for one of the most impressive sunrises on earth!
St. Catherine's Monastery
Afterward, we will visit one of the oldest Christian monasteries where prayers have never ceased. Here you will see the Basilica of the Transfiguration, the bell tower, and visit the monastery's garden. You will also see Moses' well and the Burning Bush - a miraculous phenomenon described in the Old Testament. I will tell you the story of this place, remind you of the Bible's plots, and help you find connections with the Torah and the Quran.
