Our excursion is an amazing opportunity to witness the sunrise on Mount Moses, spiritually cleanse yourself, and touch sacred relics in one of the oldest monasteries in the world, described in the Bible.
What to Expect
- We will pick you up from your hotel in Sharm el-Sheikh at 20:30
- In 4 hours, we will reach the foot of Mount Moses
- With a Bedouin guide, you will start the 5-hour climb to the mountain. To reach the summit, you need to pass over 700 steps. At the top, you will enjoy the sunrise - a truly mesmerizing sight!
- Then descend to the famous St. Catherine's Monastery. Relax within its walls and explore its structures - from the 11th-century mosque to the Orthodox Greek monastery. Admire the monastery garden and see the Burning Bush and Moses' well.
- During the tour, the guide will tell you about Mount Sinai, its significance and the origin of its name, the history of the Greek Holy Trinity church, and the monastery itself
- Around 14:00, you will return to the hotel
Organizational Details
- The tour price includes transfer by air-conditioned minivan, services of a guide from our team and a Bedouin guide, permission for the mountain climb
- Additional costs (optional) include camel ride - around $20/person, entrance to the museum/library of St. Catherine's Monastery - around $5/person, meals
- The tour is recommended for adults and children over 8 years old, but keep in mind that you will have to stay up all night and climb high on the mountain. No special physical preparation is required.
