On the journey to Mount Moses, local temples, and the monastery, you will gain a unique experience of overcoming and self-discovery, filling yourself with a sense of unity across time and space.
What to Expect
Witnessing the sunrise on Mount Sinai in Egypt, where Moses received the Ten Commandments from God, is a unique event that combines pilgrimage, intense trekking, and breathtaking beauty. Every year, thousands of people from all over the world ascend this summit. The ascent of the 7-kilometer distance will take approximately 4 hours. The climb may be challenging, but no participant regrets the time spent. At the end of the journey, holding your breath, you will watch the sunrise amid mountains and ancient sanctuaries.
Itinerary
21:00 - a comfortable minibus will pick you up from the hotel
00:00 - arrival at Mount Sinai, start of the ascent accompanied by an experienced guide
05:00 - sunrise on the mountain
06:00 - sightseeing on the mountain (Holy Trinity Church, Chapel of the Virgin Mary, Cave Church, and Prophet Elijah's Well)
09:00 - visit to St. Catherine's Monastery, sightseeing (the Burning Bush, cemetery and crypt under the Chapel of St. Tryphon, ancient mosaics, icons, etc.), breakfast near the monastery
10:00 - departure to Sharm El Sheikh
13:00 - arrival at the hotel

- After booking, you need to send us a photo of the passport spread for obtaining permission to visit the locations on the route

- To have breakfast near the monastery, you will need to bring a dry ration from the hotel (pre-order it at the reception, it's free). We will provide you with drinking water and juice on-site.
