About this experience
The journey to the top of Mount Sinai is a somewhat transformational experience even for those who are not religious. During the tour, you will walk this path with a local guide and enjoy a picturesque sunrise. Afterward, we will visit the Monastery of St. Catherine, see the place where the exodus of the Jews from Egypt began, and discuss important events described in the Bible.
What to expect
Climbing the mountain
By car, we will head to Mount Sinai, where Moses received the Ten Commandments from God - along the way, I will share interesting facts about this place. Then, accompanied by a Bedouin guide, you will walk 7 km and ascend to a height of 2,300 meters above sea level. It is said that for those who sincerely repent their sins, climbing the mountain grants forgiveness. But even if you are not a believer, embark on a journey for one of the most impressive sunrises on earth!
St. Catherine's Monastery
Afterwards, we will visit one of the oldest Christian sanctuaries, where prayers never cease. Here, you will explore the Basilica of Transfiguration, the bell tower, and the monastery garden. You will also visit the Well of Moses and the Burning Bush - a miraculous phenomenon described in the Old Testament. I will tell you the history of this place, remind you of biblical stories, and help you find connections with the Torah and the Quran.
