About this experience
Our excursion is an immersion into Chinese religious culture. You will visit two majestic temples. Discover what people believed in Ancient China and what are the main religions in the country now. Enhance your acquaintance with religious traditions with another ancient Chinese custom - a tea ceremony.
What to Expect
Tiananmen Square
This is one of the largest squares in the world, covering 440,000 square meters. You will see the Monument to the People's Heroes and Mao Zedong's Mausoleum. Find out how Tiananmen Square is similar to Red Square in Moscow.
Temple of Heaven
You will see the largest of the preserved complex of sacrificial buildings in China. Learn what ancient Chinese believed their well-being depended on, in their opinion.
Tea Ceremony
You will attend an authentic tea ceremony. Understand the difference in tea varieties and buy your favorite type if you wish.
Lamaist Temple
You will visit the largest Lamaist monastery Yunhegun in Beijing. Here you can find many Buddha statues. The guide will explain the purpose of each.
Organizational Details
- The price of the tour includes transfer from your hotel in the city center, guide services, and a tea ceremony.
- You will travel by a Volkswagen or Buick Business car.
- Additional fees are charged for the entrance ticket to the Temple of Heaven - 34 yuan/person, entrance to Yunhegun Temple - 25 yuan/person, food and drinks - optional.
- I can pick you up at the airport or from a hotel in a distant area - extra $30-50. We will discuss the details in our correspondence.
- The tour will be conducted by me or another guide from our team.
