What to expect
Imperial Palace GuGong: history of the Chinese monarchy
Our tour will start in the heart of Beijing, in Tiananmen Square. Then you will visit the Forbidden City - the most extensive palace complex in the world, built in the early 14th century. I will guide you through the main halls of the grand wooden palace, introduce you to the traditional palace architecture of China, tell you how emperors, their courtiers, and servants lived here. You will learn about the construction of the Forbidden City, understand the color symbolism of the palace, and the interior decorative elements.
Secrets of Chinese Tea
To immerse yourself in the spirit, let's go for a Chinese tea tasting. This drink has a special significance for the Chinese, who consider tea a wise plant capable of transmitting the energy of life. You will try several types of traditional tea, learn about the history of the drink, about tea traditions of Beijing, and the characteristics of different tea varieties.
Temple of Heaven and the religion of the Celestial Empire
Then you will explore the largest temple-monastery complex in Beijing, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. In the Temple of Heaven, where even emperors went, I will tell you why China is called the Celestial Empire, whom the Chinese considered the son of heaven, and how they prayed for harvest. You will learn about the religious customs of China, the color symbolism of the temple, and the features of the interior rooms.
In the evening, we recommend you to attend one of the traditional Chinese shows: Chinese Circus 'heavenly show from the Celestial Empire'; The Golden Mask Dynasty with skillful decorations, professional choreography, and circus art; Kung Fu - the legendary martial art that will amaze you with monks serving at the Shaolin Monastery.

For transit travelers
Please note! If you have a layover in China of less than 12 hours + arrival and further departure from the same terminal, you will most likely not be issued a transit visa and will not be allowed into the city (unfortunately, these are the rules at this moment). Therefore, in this situation, you will not be able to join the tour.
