About this experience
It seems that Beijing is very different from the Russian capital. Or is it just an illusion? You will visit Tiananmen Square and discover its resemblance to the Red Square. You will attend a tea ceremony and understand the differences between the Chinese and Russian versions. Find out who or what is revered in the Temple of Heaven.
What to Expect
- Tiananmen Square. One of the largest squares in the world where you will see a monument to the people's heroes and Mao Zedong's mausoleum. I will explain how Tiananmen Square is similar to the Red Square in Moscow.
- Tea Ceremony. We will visit a specialized shop where you will experience a traditional tea ceremony. You will taste different varieties, feel their differences, and have the option to purchase your favorite products.
- Yonghe Temple. Former residence of the emperor, now housing a vast number of Buddha statues, each serving a unique purpose.
- Temple of Heaven. Learn how this place is connected to sacrificial rituals. I will tell you how ancient Chinese beliefs influenced their prosperity and the significance of this temple.
