About this experience
China is a mysterious and very diverse country. I invite you to explore its history, culture, religion, Olympic heritage, and tea traditions. And also climb the section of Juyongguan and uncover the myths and mysteries of the Great Wall of China!
What to Expect
Great Wall of China: history and legends
As you admire the famous wall, you will learn why it is of such great interest to travelers, scholars, builders, and astronauts from around the world. What rumors and legends arose from its construction, whether it really cost the lives of hundreds of thousands of people and huge financial expenses. In addition to secrets and mysteries, you will hear answers to all the key questions: who and why built the wall, who it protected the Chinese from, where the most popular section is located, and whether it is visible from space.
Yunhegun Temple, Jade Museum and Tea Ceremony
"Palace of Peace and Harmony", "Lama Temple", "Yunhe Lamasery" - this is how Yunhegun is called. You will feel the tranquility and serenity reigning there, admire the sandalwood statue of Buddha over 25 meters high, and learn what Lamaism is. In conclusion, you will visit the Jade Museum, the most precious stone of China, and a tea ceremony, where you will hear interesting facts about local tea and, of course, taste it.
