Inspirational City on the Danube Bend
Just a few minutes' drive from the center of Budapest - and we are in Szentendre, amidst cobblestone streets, tiled roofs, and colorful houses adorned with grapevines. You will immediately understand why artists and sculptors from all over Europe flocked here since the beginning of the 20th century: the city's atmosphere and picturesque nooks inevitably tune you to a creative mood. We will talk about the past of Szentendre, stroll among countless creative workshops, museums, galleries, and cute souvenir shops.
Wines and Marzipan: Museums of Szentendre
Be sure to visit the wine cellars of the National Wine Museum 'Labyrinth': here you will touch the traditions of Hungarian winemaking and taste several varieties of exquisite wines from different regions of the country, including Tokaji.
And then we will visit the 'Marzipan Museum' - another attraction of Szentendre. You will delve into the secrets of making the delicacy, admire marzipan sculptures and even paintings made with marzipan colors! And at the museum shop, you can buy stunning marzipan pastries.
Organizational Details
- The tour is a combination of car and walking tour, starting and ending at your hotel. The distance from the center of Budapest (Chain Bridge) to Szentendre is approximately 15 km.
- Transport - Mercedes Class B or Class E car
- The tour is designed for a group of up to 4 people, if you have more people, you can order a minibus (the hourly rate for the minibus is negotiated separately)
- Additional costs: Marzipan Museum - 3 euros per person, wine tasting - from 16 euros per person, as well as meals and other personal expenses.
