What to Expect
Visegrad Fortress - panoramic view and Count Dracula
The main attraction in Visegrad is the 13th-century citadel perched on the rocky hill of Sibrik. From its observation deck, you can admire the Danube view.
I will tell you why Count Dracula lingered here and why he was allowed to roam the fortress. You will see wax figure halls depicting medieval balls and feasts. I’ll share legends about the Hungarian crown while you gaze at its replica.
Szentendre - marzipan and wine
This is a city of bohemians, artists, old taverns, and souvenir shops-galleries of Hungarian masters. Cobbled streets, houses with tiled roofs, and grape-laden courtyards give the city a fairy-tale appearance. You will hear why Serbian refugees named this place and when it happened.
Here lies the most famous marzipan museum in Europe. You will encounter enchanting scenes from fairy tales, paintings, figures of celebrities - all made of marzipan!
Optionally, visit the 'Labyrinth' National Wine Museum in medieval wine cellars. Learn about Hungarian winemaking traditions and, if desired, taste exquisite varieties from 22 regions of Hungary. You can purchase your favorite wines directly from the museum.
