About this experience
Our journey will begin the evening before. The driver will pick you up from the hotel, take you to the foot of the mountain, and introduce you to a Bedouin guide. Then awaits you the ascent. All those who reach the summit will cleanse their sins - as the legend says. You will witness the sunrise, as well as see the well of Moses, visit the Monastery of Saint Catherine, and learn its history.
What to expect
The ascent will take about 4 hours. According to legend, every pilgrim who overcomes 7 km of path and 700 steps receives forgiveness for their sins. You will not only meet the sunrise at the peak, but also see:
- Monastery of Saint Catherine
- Church with the relics of Saint Catherine
- Well of Moses
- Burning Bush
You will learn:
- Who Saint Catherine was and where she was born
- What the monastery was called in the past
- How the monks live, what they eat, and their way of life
- Who ordered the installation of the first chapel in the monastery
- What business Bedouins engage in and what religion they profess

Detailed itinerary
9:00 PM - departure from the hotel. The journey will take 3 hours, with several stops along the way.
12:00 AM - meeting with Bedouin guide who will accompany you to the summit
8:30 AM - free time. You can rest and have a snack.
9:00 AM - visit to the Monastery of Saint Catherine
10:00 AM - return to Sharm el-Sheikh
1:30 PM - return to the hotel
Who is this program for
Participants over 8 years old, physical fitness level does not matter. Important: ascent is contraindicated for people with cardiovascular diseases, high blood pressure, and pregnant women.
