Racha-Lechkhumi: Nature and Cuisine of Western Georgia
Описание
Travel to Racha-Lechkhumi, a journey that the famous Georgian poet Akaki Tsereteli started from Kutaisi, taking him ten days. His voyage was filmed - the first Georgian documentary film. We will follow the same legendary route, but this time in just one day. You will explore the landscapes, culture, cuisine of the region and understand why it is called the Georgian Switzerland.
What to Expect
Racha
We will start from the city of Kutaisi and first visit the Racha region. Our program includes Nakerala Pass, Shaori Lake, Nikortsminda Church, Love Waterfall. And of course, the gastronomic part! In one of the verified establishments, you will taste local dishes such as chkmeruli (chicken in milk-garlic sauce), lobiani (flatbread with beans and ham), Racha ham lori. And enjoy a glass of the legendary Khvanchkara wine.
Lechkhumi
We continue our journey. 'Wow, what a lake! Oh, look - a mountain! A glass bridge over a waterfall - that's impressive! And rocks in the forest! Oh, what a field with flowers - let's have a coffee there!'. These are the kind of words I hear from my fellow travelers as we drive through Lechkhumi. The beauty here is truly incredible. Additionally, this region produces the most expensive and delicious wine in Georgia - Usakhelauri.
During the trip, I will introduce you to the past of historic regions and tell you about their highlights.
