Gastro-wine and sightseeing walk in Tbilisi
About this experience
Tbilisi is a stronghold of vitality, not for nothing do its inhabitants have their own 'power spot'. Despite the outwardly measured life here, it bubbles like a waterfall in the Legvtakhevi Gorge right in the heart of the old city. Learning a couple of traditional toasts, discovering recipes for national dishes, and strolling through narrow winding streets in the company of a local resident - that's what you should come to Tbilisi for in the first place. You will expand the capabilities of your taste receptors, surprising them with a variety of Georgian wine varieties, and feel for yourself why this city inspires poetic reflections on daily life.
What to expect
Beauty of the old city
I will take you to a place where all layers of the city from the 1st to the 19th century have been preserved on a small piece of land. And I will tell you about the history of Tbilisi, so that, looking at the Narikala Fortress, the Metekhi Church - the abode of kings, and Anchiskhati (one of the oldest churches in Georgia), you will see not just stone walls, but vaults remembering the voices of ancestors.
Tbilisi will surprise you with its abruptness. You will enjoy the views of the Ingorokva Gorge, gaze at the sulfur baths and the spiral staircase right between the rocks, get lost in the maze of narrow streets of the Sharden district, which locals call Little Paris. And even try on a copy of the jewelry of Queen Tamar made of cloisonne enamel by Georgian designers. The elegant Bridge of Peace, connecting the old city with the somewhat futuristic new one, will reconcile you with the thought that time runs as fast in ancient Tbilisi as everywhere else. It's just that the Tbilisians know the value of the past and are in love with the present.
Gastronomic pleasures
In Tbilisi, it would be a sin not to indulge in simple hedonistic activities: try the most delicious khinkali in the city, have a cup of Tbilisi-style coffee, and of course, a dozen glasses of the best Georgian wine. At a free tasting with a famous wine expert who knows which slopes of the mountains the grapes for a specific bottle ripened on, you will learn to distinguish grape varieties and discover the taste of this drink in a completely new way.
I will share with you recipes and secrets of cooking local dishes so that you can prepare them correctly at home and appreciate them. Also, at the end of the tour, I will recommend the best restaurants in the city and suggest what to order and with which wine to truly enjoy Georgian cuisine.

She is a true professional: she tells interesting stories, has an excellent command of the material, and delivers information clearly and engagingly. The tour was interesting for everyone - both the older generation and even a 15-year-old...
