About this experience
You will visit the cozy left bank of Tbilisi, resembling a small European town with its unchanging local color: ornate wooden balconies and picturesque courtyards. I will show you the graffiti street, the Russian Orthodox church, the oldest city bridge, the house where Leo Tolstoy stayed, the flea market, and many other interesting places rarely visited by tourists.
What to expect
Left Bank yesterday and today
I will tell you how Tbilisi grew and expanded throughout history: who settled on the hospitable banks of the Kura River, how German colonists appeared in the city, and what innovations they brought. You will walk along a street adorned with graffiti and see what the locals turned the Soviet sewing factory into. You will also learn the story of a general who remained loyal to his homeland forever, and stroll through the places where Maxim Gorky once roamed, contemplating his first story "Makar Chudra." Leo Tolstoy also visited Tbilisi - I will gladly show you the house where he lived.
Ancient streets, temples, bridges, and colorful flea market
You will see local landmarks: the Russian Orthodox Church of St. Alexander Nevsky and the Catholic Church of St. Peter and Paul. You will cross the river over the oldest bridge in Tbilisi and observe the residence of the current President of Georgia, the palace of Prince Oldenburg, built for the beauty Agrafina, the park of the native language, and the rows of the flea market near the Dry Bridge. I will share with you the secrets of the multifaceted and diverse Georgian capital and help you love it forever!
