I invite you to a long and fascinating journey through the heart of Georgia to the capital of the Imereti region - Kutaisi. Famous sights of the city and its surroundings, the legacy of ancient Georgian architecture, unique religious monuments, and stunning creations of nature await you. And, of course, the history and legends of these places.
Program
- Early in the morning, at 8 o'clock, we will start the journey to Western Georgia (220 kilometers one way).
- We cross the Rikoti Pass, and soon Kutaisi is before us. We are in the Colchis Plain, shrouded in many legends. Here, the Argonauts led by Jason stole the Golden Fleece, here in the surrounding mountains Prometheus was chained to the rock, here are the lands of outstanding ancient warriors, here amazing events took place. We will visit the magnificent monastery complex Gelati along with the famous medieval Academy; the founder of the complex was King David the Builder.
- In the Bagrati Cathedral, we will witness the beauty and unique charm of impressive Georgian architecture from a thousand years ago.
- And finally, the Sataplia National Nature Reserve will reveal its secrets to us with its stunning karst caves with thousands of stalactites and stalagmites and footprints of prehistoric dinosaurs.

Has knowledge, but lacks ease in communication. We are used to talking a lot with the guide, so we felt uncomfortable.
