The monastery where St. Nino, who baptized Georgia, rests, the charming town of Sighnaghi, views of the Alazani Valley, exploring history and legends, traditional wines, and aromatic khinkali in a local restaurant - all this awaits you on a journey through the Kakheti region. Along the way, we will stop at planned locations so you can enjoy the views and take photos. Trust us - there will be plenty of such places!
What to expect
The land of vineyards
Georgia is recognized as the birthplace of winemaking, and UNESCO experts have included the Georgian method of winemaking in the list of intangible cultural heritage. Along the way, we will visit the KTW winery (Kakhetian Traditional Winemaking), where you will taste rare Georgian wines. Next, we will visit a small winery 'Winery Kakheti' located in a country estate from the beginning of the last century, where you will also be treated to wine, and all of this is included in the tour price.
History of St. Nino in Bodbe
After the taste impressions, spiritual experiences await: you will visit the Bodbe Monastery, where St. Nino rests. Learn about the life of the enlightener who baptized Georgia in the 4th century and hear the legend of why she is buried in this place.
The city behind the 'Great Georgian Wall' and a delicious lunch
Sighnaghi is warmly called the city of lovers: here you can get married at any time of the day. You will stroll through charming streets with an Italian style, see the fortress wall - the second longest in the world - and admire the panoramas of the sunny Alazani Valley. And after that, you will be welcomed at a hospitable local restaurant where you will enjoy traditional Kakhetian dishes.

- The tour will be conducted by me or another guide from our team.
- Transport and drinking water are included in the price.
- Lunch is paid separately (average check per person is 10€).
- The tour can also be organized for a larger group and/or on a different route (in that case, the cost is calculated individually).
- We can also offer you a transfer from the airport to your hotel: for 1-4 people 10€, for 1-8 people 20€.

The tour was combined with an English-speaking group (which was not notified in advance), divided into several buses, the guide had to work with two audiences, which was quite challenging. I do not recommend.
