About this experience
"Where Alazani winds, freshness and coolness abound, where gardens pay homage to the purple grapes..." These lines from A. Griboyedov's poem about Kakheti will be the leitmotif of our journey through the land of ancient architectural monuments and history, the homeland of Georgia's sacred drink - wine, which has been around for over eight thousand years. Our program includes the picturesque Sighnaghi, the Chavchavadze Estate, Telavi with its royal residence, and of course, wine tastings.
What to Expect
- We will depart from Tbilisi through Upper Kakheti, passing through the unique microzone Hashmi, past the fortresses of Manavi and Chailuri, bypassing many colorful villages.
- In the city of love, Sighnaghi, we will walk through unique terraced streets and the famous fortress wall.
- In Tsinandali at the A. Chavchavadze Estate, you will learn about the princely family, intertwined with the destinies of famous personalities. You will learn about its special role in Georgia's history and its Europeanization, as well as the European method of wine production in Georgia, which started here in the form we know it today.
- In Gurjaani or Tsinandali, there will be a tasting of Georgian wines prepared by different methods.
- You will visit the cozy provincial town of Telavi with its airy streets, a 950-year-old plane tree, and the "Master's Fortress," where the Eastern Kingdom began to form. As a bonus from my profession as a film director, you will receive a gift - a visit to some filming locations of the legendary comedy "Mimino." In addition, a couple of pleasant surprises await you.
- We will end our journey with a trip along the amazing mountain serpentine of the Gombori Ridge, thus completing a small circle around the Kakheti region.

Program Features
- The route goes in a circle, and depending on conditions, I may start it as indicated in the program or in the opposite direction. I also reserve the right to adjust the locations of visits to wineries and tastings.
- Since I won't rush you, lunch may be late
- If we are on time, as a bonus from me, there is the opportunity to participate in a master class on making Georgian delicacy - churchkhela

- I can organize a trip for 5-6 people (25 euros for each additional participant)
