About this experience
I invite you to see through my eyes the places where the events of the Tanakh and the Bible (Old and New Testaments) unfolded. Learn what the city of prophets and kings looked like 2000-3000 years ago and how life was organized in those times.
What to expect
- We will visit the City of David, see the ruins of the royal palace and the city dungeon, where the prophet Jeremiah was imprisoned.
- We will get acquainted with the houses and way of life of the wealthy citizens, descend into the underground tunnels and learn how King David conquered the city.
- We will walk along the ancient water aqueduct, see a synagogue that is 2000 years old!
- We will admire the sacred Pool of Siloam, walk along the main street of the city during the Second Temple period.
- We will touch the Western and Southern walls of the Temple Mount and get to know the Western Wall from an unexpected angle.
- We will place a note to God at the Western Wall.
The tour will end near the Western Wall, and you can go home by buses 38/1/3, walk to the Mamilla parking near the Jaffa Gate, or take a tram at the Damascus or Jaffa Gates.
After the tour, you can continue to explore the Old City on your own and have lunch at picturesque restaurants.
