About this experience
I invite you to explore Jerusalem literally from the inside! You will descend into the underground archaeological park to examine the base of the tower, see the Pool of Siloam, and retrace the path of ancient pilgrims. And then you will take a walk through the Old City: pass through the Jewish Quarter, see the excavations of King Hezekiah's wall and the foundations of the Western Wall, and also visit the Tomb of King David.
What to Expect
You will descend into the ancient underground tunnels of the City of King David archaeological park. We will go to the base of the tower that guarded the waters of the Gihon Spring, then we will walk on a dry (or wet) path to the Pool of Siloam, and from there through tunnels under the Herodian street we will ascend to the Temple Mount, retracing the path of ancient pilgrims.
We will talk in detail about all the points of the route, there is so much history in these places that a lifetime is not enough to learn everything. We will also visit the excavation museum, inspect the foundations of the Western Wall, and be able to pray by it. After lunch in the Old City, we will walk through the Jewish Quarter, see the excavations of King Hezekiah's Broad Wall (7th century BCE), walk along the Roman-Byzantine street Cardo, and visit the Tomb of King David on Mount Zion.
