Visit the city of Parkent and try the popular local delicacy - somsa. Take a stroll through the pristine Sukok forest and uncover why the hidden cave in the coniferous forest 'sings'.
What to Expect
Institute of the Sun
There is only one analogue of this attraction in Uzbekistan in the whole world - we will tell you in which country. The scientific center of the main star of the galaxy is located at an altitude of 1100 meters: here is clean air, and the sun shines 280 days a year. The facility is grandiose: it consists of a helioconcentrator, which is assembled from 10700 mirrors. If you wish, you can climb to the top and take unusual photos with a view of the mirrors and mountains. The guide will give you a tour of the heliocomplex and show you the materials produced by the institute.
Somsa Tasting in Parkent
To delve deeper into local traditions and color, we will treat you to a traditional kouk-samsa from the tandyr. It is not only delicious, but also healthy: it is made from seven mountain herbs (madora, mint-yalpiza, sorrel, spinach, and others). If you wish, you can also try somsa with pumpkin, meat, and other seasonal fillings.
Sukok Nature Reserve
After the tasting, we will visit the Sukok nature reserve, climb the ridge, stroll through the sprawling coniferous forest, and reach the 'singing cave'. It is called that because you can hear the sound of water bubbling deep underground nearby. After that, an easy trek awaits you through a rocky area, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the Sukok mountains.
Organizational Details
- The tour takes place in a comfortable car. We will pick you up from the hotel and after the tour, we will drop you off at any location in Tashkent.
- Somsa is included in the price, other dishes and drinks are paid for separately at your own expense
- A local guide will conduct the tour at the Institute of the Sun for you
- Entrance tickets are paid for separately: €5 per person for the institute, €2 for the reserve.
