About this experience
We will go to the hospitable and tasty Zaamin. A region where you can listen to the songs of mountain rivers, enjoy the healing juniper air, and taste delicious meat dishes. Over one and a half days, you will take a walk in the National Nature Park, get to know the 700-year-old Grandpa Orekh, visit Kazan-Patyr, and try the famous dish of shepherds - Tandyr-Gusht.
What to expect
Healing mountain walk
In the morning, we will set off from Tashkent to the picturesque region of Zaamin, also known as the Uzbek Switzerland. I will tell you about the gastronomic part of the journey later, but for now, let's talk about the region itself. You will enjoy a walk in the National Nature Park among canyons, juniper forests, and high mountain ridges. Take a deep breath - the air here is healing, treating asthma and other illnesses.
At the highest point of the walk, we will see the international radio space observatory Suffa. We will also taste the water from the Sherbulak spring, which has a taste of milk, meet the 700-year-old nut tree Bobo-Yongok (Grandpa Nut in translation), and enjoy the silent tranquility of the Zaamin reservoir. We will spend the night here, in a mountain hotel.
Feast for everyone
The flagship of Zaamin is the treat Tandyr-Gusht - the famous "shepherd's dish". It is meat buried in the ground and stewed with those very juniper branches. Yes, we will definitely try it. We will also visit Kazan-Patyr (flatbread baked in a special cauldron) and taste wonderful lamb shashlik (livestock graze right here, on the green meadows). During this trip, we will have a lot of meat dishes: huge portions and incredibly tasty.

Day One
08:00 Gathering and departure from Tashkent
11:00 Arrival in Zaamin and check-in at the hotel/guest house

17:00 Return to the hotel, rest, and preparation for dinner

Organizational details
- The trip takes place in a comfortable Chevrolet Epica car, and for a large group, I will provide a convenient minibus
- All expenses are included in the price: transfer, meals, excursions, and accommodation at the hotel
- The region has a sharply continental climate, so bring warm clothes. Swimsuits may come in handy (for the sauna or warm pool).
