About this experience
I invite you to a rich one-day journey that combines scientific achievements and the magnificent nature of Uzbekistan! You will explore the Institute of the Sun located in the mountains, where one of the two giant solar furnaces in the world is situated. A local guide will explain how it operates and its value. Then we will head to the Sukok Forest to walk and breathe in the coniferous air.
What to Expect
Institute of the Sun: visual scientific inventions
Geliocomplex Sun is the most unusual landmark in the vicinity of Tashkent. It was built in the 80s on an open hill in an ecologically clean pre-mountainous area. Similar structure exists only in France. You will learn about the history and structure of the solar furnace, try to burn something in the miniature 2-meter heli concentrator, and take photos with mirrors of different shapes.
Sukok Forest: relaxation and recharge
You will stroll through a picturesque forest with coniferous groves and huge trees that are hundreds of years old. Breathe in the clean air and recharge with the energy of nature. We will also have a break in a clearing where we can rest and talk about topics that interest you. I will gladly share information about the traditions and culture of Uzbekistan as well as give personal recommendations on what to see in your free time, where to eat delicious food, and where to go on your own.
