Group Tour: Experience the Legendary Kazbek
About this experience
Embark on a journey filled with fantastic mountain landscapes, the historical path of Georgia and its legends. You will witness the famous confluence of the Aragvi and Kura rivers, visit the popular viewpoint 'Arch of Friendship of Peoples', admire the azure Zhinvali reservoir, and explore the past of the medieval fortress of Ananuri. You will also see the famous monastery at the foot of the mountain.
What to Expect
Unparalleled Beauty of landscapes
The road from Tbilisi to Kazbegi passes through a picturesque gorge of the Aragvi river. The journey is filled with stories of people inspired by the local nature, ancient legends of the mountains, and historical facts about the turbulent life of the Military-Georgian Road. You will stroll along the banks of the turquoise Zhinvali reservoir, where I will talk about the role of the reservoir and the secrets hidden at the bottom. You will overlook the surroundings from the Arch of Friendship and visit a mineral spring resembling a golden river. And the ancient monastery perched on a hill against the snow-capped mountains will take your breath away - yes, that same view you've seen on a thousand postcards from Georgia! Beyond these fantastic landscapes, you will head to the village Stepantsminda at the foot of Mount Kazbek. From there, you will switch to jeeps to ascend to the church in Gergeti.

In addition, the itinerary includes the medieval fortress of Ananuri on the Zhinvali reservoir, where within the fortress walls bastion, you will find the 17th-century Assumption Church and a 13th-century ancient tower - here we will talk about feudal times, Aragvi eristavis, and historical battles.

Transportation and drinking water are included in the price. - The tour can also be conducted for a larger group and/or on a different route (in this case, the cost is calculated individually).
- We can also offer you a transfer from the airport to your hotel: for 1-4 persons 10€, for 1-8 persons 20€.
What is Included and What is Not
- Transportation costs and drinking water are included in the price.
- Additional expenses: jeep to the church in Gergeti (50 lari per car or 15 lari per person).
- Lunch is also payable separately (on the way back) at a cafe in the birthplace of khinkali (average check per person 15€).
