What to expect
Towards Kazbek!
This comfortable and beautiful journey will take you along the Military-Georgian Road towards the border with Russia. This oldest and most important transportation artery has been connecting Russia and the Transcaucasian countries for several centuries. Along the way, you will visit the architectural complex Ananuri - former residence of the Aragvi Princes, where you will explore churches and medieval towers. You will see the turquoise Jinvali Reservoir, the confluence of the White and Black Aragvi Rivers, and the Gudauri ski resort. We will ascend the Cross Pass on dizzying narrow mountain roads and then visit a mineral spring.
Heavenly Temple Gergeti
The final point of the route will be the village of Stepantsminda, where you will visit the Gergeti church - a marvelous building against the backdrop of fantastic landscapes. You can hike up to the church or rent a jeep at the foot. And at the observation deck, you will be treated to the most spectacular view, for which it was worth coming here: the mighty extinct giant Kazbek, surrounded by many legends and myths, embodying the pride and grandeur of the land it stands on.
