About this experience
Let's go beyond hotel dining: visit authentic cafes and restaurants popular among locals and order something less typical? Our gastro-walk will not feature typical dishes offered to tourists. You will visit places preferred by Egyptians and taste traditional dishes reserved for the most esteemed guests!
What to expect
You will visit an authentic Arabic restaurant El Masrien and try national cuisine in a simple but very delicious presentation. You will be offered fried pigeon, grilled liver, kofta (Egyptian beef sausages), tagine and molokheya (Egyptian spinach), baba ghanoush, mahshi (Egyptian stuffed cabbage rolls), traditional salads, and appetizers.
After relaxing in the restaurant, we will head to see the largest mosque in the city, El Sahaba Mosque. Then, we will visit a local cafe to try shisha, which locals smoke. Finally, we will enjoy Arabic coffee at the most famous coffee shop in the old city.
