Join us for a one-day escape from the bustling Tbilisi and venture into the mountains! Experience a ride along the fantastically picturesque Military Georgian Road, visit the medieval fortress of Ananuri, take photos at the Arch of Friendship, ascend by jeeps to the Trinity Church, and enjoy the breathtaking views of the majestic Kazbek.
What to Expect
A mountain journey 'above the clouds'
We will depart from Tbilisi to the mountain village of Kazbegi, making stops at the most interesting locations. The excursion program includes:
- Zhinvali Reservoir. You will see an artificial reservoir with turquoise water, beautifully located between the Alevi, Gudamakari, and Kartli mountain ranges.
- Ananuri Fortress. This is the only medieval defensive castle in Georgia that has reached us in its original form. Explore its grounds, visit the 17th-century Assumption Church and unravel the secret meaning behind its decorative elements.
- Confluence of the White and Black Aragvi Rivers. We will stop in a marvelous mountain valley for lunch overlooking the confluence of the two great rivers at a restaurant where you can taste Georgian khinkali and other traditional mountain dishes. In the tasting area, you can sample various wines, chacha, and brandy free of charge.
- Gudauri Ski Resort. Visit one of the country's most famous ski resorts and admire its snow-covered peaks.
- Arch of Friendship. Marvel at the grand monument to Russian-Georgian friendship located right on the mountain's edge.
- Kazbek and Trinity Church. This is the 'postcard-perfect' monastery perched on a hill against a backdrop of snow-capped mountains. Reach it by jeeps and enjoy the panoramas immortalized by Pushkin.

Throughout the whole day on the excursion, all of us in the group of 15 people were excited by the maximum information and very beautiful views, thanks to the company and thanks to the guide Paatte. The guide was very professionally doing his job!
