About this experience
Meeting Beijing should start and be remembered for a lifetime, as it is the capital of an amazing country with unique heritage. We will introduce you to the key milestones of China's history, show incredibly beautiful corners of the city - the Forbidden City, Jingshan Park, the main shopping street, and the square. We will hold a tea ceremony for you, and then help you buy circus tickets!
What to expect
Forbidden City Gūgùn
This is the largest palace complex in the world, where 24 Chinese emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties lived and ruled. According to legend, Gūgùn is located at the very center of the Earth - this is how astronomers of that time defined it. I will share facts about the palace complex, its architecture and cultural peculiarities. You will see majestic palaces, pavilions, gardens, and halls restored in the original style.
Wangfujing Street
After a massive renovation and reconstruction, the almost 500-year-old shopping street has reopened! Here you can find branches of famous global brands of video, audio, and photo equipment, watches, jewelry, and fashionable clothing. In addition, the street hosts stores of folk crafts and Chinese souvenirs. And if we find ourselves on Wangfujing in the late hours, we will definitely visit the Donghuamen Night Market, located in the pedestrian zone of the street.
Tiananmen Square
The largest square in the world and one of the most beautiful. Tiananmen Square with its majestic gates holds the same importance in China as Red Square in Russia.
Jingshan Park
A former imperial garden and a place that offers a fantastic view of the city and the Gūgùn Museum.
Tea Ceremony
During it, you will not only get acquainted with Chinese tea culture, but also feel the magic and harmony that a tea ceremony brings. You will be able to taste several different types of tea: green, black, white, yellow, oolong, and others. Each type has its unique characteristics, flavor notes, and brewing methods. The ceremony lasts about 30 minutes.
Chinese Circus
Chinese circus - a traditional art that originated in ancient times Despite its name, the Chinese circus has little in common with the circus as we know it. Here you will see an acrobatic troupe from the ancient province of Zhejiang with acts inspired by Chinese folklore and traditions.
