Visit the magnificent Golubac Fortress, located at the entrance to the Djerdap National Park. You will hear stories about the history and legends of these amazing places.
What to Expect
Golubac Fortress
This is a real fairytale castle, located in the midst of the rocky landscape of the Djerdap Gorge. Today, the citadel has been completely restored and is considered one of the most beautiful medieval monuments in Serbia and Southeastern Europe. It includes nine towers, each of which is famous for its legends.
Djerdap
Being in the territory of the national park, we will walk through tunnels, slopes, and amazing viewpoints, where the Danube forms a natural border between Serbia and Romania. You will learn where the monuments of prehistoric times, antiquity, and the Middle Ages are located. You will hear about the past and present of these places, about kings and princes, about wars and the daily life of people.
Boat Trip on the Danube
Depending on the number of people in the group or on an individual tour, the type of water transport (boat, boat, ship, etc.) is selected.
Iron Gates
Our path leads to this famous place, distinguished by its amazing beauty and grandeur. This is the Kazan gorge, which received a more loud name - Iron Gates. Around rise the rocky peaks of Mount Mirac, Veliki Stbats, and Mali Stbats, which also add unique sensations when passing through the Iron Gates.
Plaque of Trajan
This is a special monument that is only visible from the river. It is a stone with a rectangular base, 3.2 meters high and 1.8 meters wide. You will feel as if you have been transported back to the times when the Roman Emperor Trajan entered present-day Romania with his army to defeat the Dacian king Decebalus and conquer this territory.
