About this experience
Serbia is not limited to Belgrade. To prove this, we will head to the picturesque region of Vojvodina, which will help you immerse yourself in the history, nature, and life of the country. We will visit the wonderful cities of Novi Sad and Sremski Karlovci, descend into wine cellars, and explore the Petrovaradin Fortress. And we will also try traditional dishes and drinks!
What to expect
Sremski Karlovci: wine and cozy walks
Sremski Karlovci is a charming town with doll-like houses and quiet streets. You will see the house of General Wrangel and learn about his connection with Pushkin. You will admire the fountain 'Four Lions', the Cathedral of St. Nicholas, and other ancient buildings: the Patriarch's Palace and the 'Karlovac' gymnasium. You will also visit 300-year-old cellars and taste local specialties: sweet liqueur wine Bermet, reminiscent of Italian vermouth, and mead.
Petrovaradin Fortress and Novi Sad
We will stroll through the ancient fortress, immerse ourselves in its rich history, and enjoy the magnificent panorama of the Fruska Gora National Park. After that, we will head to Novi Sad - the second largest city in Serbia. We will walk along the trade Danube Street, visit the picturesque park, and examine the main attractions of Freedom Square: the Church of the Virgin Mary, the magistrate building, and the Vojvodina hotel. In addition, you will have a gastronomic experience - lunch in a traditional Serbian restaurant, where all dishes are prepared from natural rural products.
