About this experience
A trip around the Kakheti Circle is an encounter with majestic ancient monuments of history, art, architecture, religion, and the wild, enticing nature in its pristine state. You will visit the homeland of Georgia's sacred drink - wine and see the Alazani Valley from the best vantage point - from the heights of the Gombori Ridge.
What to expect
- I will tell you the history of each place and of Georgia as a whole, about the uniqueness of the monuments, the mentality and life of the locals, about grape cultivation and winemaking. You will discover the famous Kakheti, get acquainted with its main symbols, enjoy the beauty and hospitality of the sunny vineyard region, and even in cool weather you will only take away the warmest memories.
- You will see the Bodbe Women's Monastery, bow before the grave of Saint Nino, a place where dreams come true, the last residence of the Kakheti kings, the estate-museum of the Chavchavadze princes. You will learn about wine production, taste wine and other beverages, and sample traditional Kakhetian cuisine. In addition, a couple of pleasant surprises await you.
Route
- Monastic complex in Bodbe. Tomb, spring, and bath of Saint Nino.
- Sighnaghi. Sighnaghi Fortress, round-the-clock Palace of Weddings, optionally - a museum with works by Pirosmani and Lado Gudiashvili.
- Tsinandali. Chavchavadze Estate-Museum.
- Telavi. Professional tasting of 9-10 types of wine, prepared by all existing methods. Old town, "Batonis Tsikhe", Plane tree.
- Shuamta. New and old monasteries.
- Back to Tbilisi we will go through the amazing mountain serpentine of the Gombori Pass, so you will enjoy even more wonderful views of Kakheti.
Organizational details
Please note: Due to the reconstruction and restoration of the portico of the "Shuamta" monastery, its visit is temporarily suspended. Apologies for the inconvenience!
- Since no one will rush you or time your journey - lunch will be a little late.
- If we are on time, as a bonus from me - the opportunity to participate in a master class on making a Georgian delicacy - Churchkhela
- The tour goes in a circle, and depending on the conditions, the guide may start it as indicated in the route program, or in the opposite direction
How the tour goes:
- This is an individual tour and the guide does not gather groups. The tour can be conducted for 5-6 participants, with an additional fee of 25 euros per each additional participant to the guide.
- An individual calculation of the tour cost is possible when increasing the number of participants
What is included in the price and what is not

Had a great time with Mikhail. We stayed at a hotel away from Tbilisi, Mikhail met us halfway and adjusted the route for us, picked us up from the hotel and brought us back. We really enjoyed it, will turn to him again. 🙏🏻
