On this walking tour, you will have the chance to explore the major attractions of the city: learn about the construction of the remarkable Sagrada Familia and its legendary architect, discover the landscape of Ciutadella Park, wander through the medieval streets of the Gothic Quarter, visit Catalonia Square and La Rambla Boulevard. Along the way, I will share insights about Barcelona's significant historical epochs, explain the forces that shaped its architectural identity, tell urban legends and help you form a comprehensive impression of the Catalan capital.
What to Expect
A Journey Through Time
Your introduction to the beauty of Barcelona will begin at the 'Gates of the World' square, where you will be greeted by one of the city's symbols - the Columbus Monument. You will see the city's most beautiful port, stroll through the Gothic Quarter discussing the times of the powerful Aragon Crown. Gradually, I will immerse you in Barcelona's glorious epochs, sharing its history, local customs, and curious tales. Explore the park landscape of Ciutadella, the city's only green space for a long time. Examine the architecture and symbolism of the sculptures at the Triumphal Arch, and walk through the main streets and avenues of the modernist era.
The World of Antoni Gaudí
A sightseeing tour is incomplete without visiting Barcelona's iconic landmark - the Sagrada Familia cathedral, which the renowned architect Antoni Gaudí dedicated his life to. Alongside the objective facts about the construction, numerous legends surround this masterpiece. I will share the most intriguing facts about the building and help you grasp the magnificence of one of the world's most astonishing structures. In Park Güell, besides the beautiful fairytale-like houses, you will enjoy a magnificent view of the city. Stroll through the paths and viaducts once frequented by Barcelona's bourgeoisie in the early 20th century. In the city's main street, Passeig de Gràcia, observe other buildings belonging to the incomparable architect - Casa Milà and Casa Batlló. We will also not overlook the artworks of other creators.
Main Squares and Panoramic Views
In the city center, you will visit Barcelona's main square - Catalonia Square, walk along the famous pedestrian street La Rambla, and explore the city's most popular market, La Boqueria. At Spain Square, you will see buildings constructed for the architectural exhibition held in Barcelona in 1929. And, of course, the city's magnificent color-musical attraction - the Magic Fountain. From the viewpoint at the National Palace, you will gaze upon the city from the other side, from Montjuïc Mountain.

- The tour is mainly on foot, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes. To cover as many interesting sights as possible, we will occasionally use public transport.
- Transportation costs are not included in the tour price (a single metro or bus ticket costs €2.15, a 10-ride ticket costs €10.20).
- Upon request, the tour can be extended by expanding the program.
