What to Expect
Modernist masterpieces and bird's eye view of the city
In 4 hours, we will talk extensively about Spain, Barcelona and the Catalans. I will reveal the most interesting facts about local history and architecture. I will suggest where to eat deliciously, where to go in your free time and what to bring from the Catalan capital. The tour program includes:
- Passeig de Gracia - you will walk along the most elegant street in Barcelona, explore the 'Quadrat d'Or' with the best works of the modernists and determine which building you like best.
- Collserola Park - a favorite relaxation spot for the people of Barcelona. I will show you the coziest, quiet paths away from cars, which will ultimately lead us to the top of Tibidabo Mountain. Along the way, I will talk about the city's history and its famous residents. I will also mention the differences between Catalans and other Spaniards, as well as the distinction between Catalan and our mentalities.
- Tibidabo Mountain - the best spot to enjoy a panoramic view, understand the city's layout, and hear how it has changed throughout history.
- Basilica of the Sagrada Familia - I will explain why the Basilica of the Holy Family elicits such a strong and controversial reaction from people.
- Amusement Park - the first amusement park in Spain. The program does not include rides, but even just looking at them is a pleasure. They convey the spirit of the past, kindness, and childhood.
