About this experience
To learn as much as possible about Barcelona in just one day, you need to join me on this tour! In a few hours, I will show you the most interesting sights of the city, tell you their history, and reveal ancient legends.
What to expect
Our journey will begin in the very center of Barcelona - at Plaza de San Jaime. Two thousand years ago, the 'heart' of the Roman colony of Barcino was located here, and now magnificent buildings of the Barcelona City Hall and the Government of Catalonia stand here.
Then we will turn into the depths of the Gothic Quarter, which holds hundreds of secrets... We will see the majestic Cathedral, which took 700 years to build, the Royal Palace where the kings of legendary Aragon lived and Christopher Columbus visited, Plaza de Felipe Neri where the main tragedy of the Civil War occurred, and the Jewish Quarter whose streets remember plague epidemics, horrific pogroms, and the expulsion of its inhabitants.
After exploring the Old Barcelona, we will study the 19th-century city. On Passeig de Gracia, you will encounter the magnificent 'Block of Discord' with modernist mansions, as well as Casa Batllo and Casa Mila, built by the main genius of Barcelona - Antonio Gaudi.
The highlight of the tour will be the famous Sagrada Familia Cathedral. An incredible building referred to as the 'Bible in stone', as every centimeter is covered with symbols. By the way, its construction has been ongoing for over 137 years!
I will tell you about the history of Barcelona and its current life. I will share ancient legends, modern anecdotes, and fun stories. For example, you will learn:
- who really founded Barcelona and what does Hercules have to do with it
- why 13 geese live in the Cloister of the Cathedral
- what Christopher Columbus was doing in Barcelona
- why one of Gaudi's houses is covered with scales while the other is overgrown with seaweed
- why the great architect collected bottles, hunted for donkeys, and who was the true client of the Sagrada Familia
Three hours will fly by unnoticed, and you will see all the must-see sights of Barcelona, start to navigate the city easily, and learn all the most interesting things about it, its history, and its inhabitants!
Additional option - photo shoot
During the tour, I can conduct a photo shoot for you (individual, family, or love story) in the most beautiful places of our route. This will extend the tour by approximately one hour, and within a week you will receive 30+ photographs with color correction and retouching in a lifestyle style. Examples of my work can be seen in the tour gallery. The cost of such a photo shoot is €125.

- We will travel by metro (from 1.5 euros per trip) or taxi (around 8 euros per trip per car) between Plaza del Angel, Passeig de Gracia, and the Sagrada Familia - to be paid separately
- The walk includes only external views of the buildings
