About this experience
Venice is a unique city. Cars do not drive here, everyone moves exclusively on foot and by water transport, the historical center is built on wooden piles and periodic floods occur, which are signaled by sirens. I will share a completely special Venetian way of life, reveal many interesting household details, and help you feel what it's like to be a true Venetian.
What to Expect
Venice: Un like any other
Discover how a beautiful city arose among the waters of the lagoon and how geographical features have shaped the modern Venetian spirit, character, and lifestyle. Learn about the fluctuations in population over the ages, why Venetians are moving out of the center in large numbers, and what special laws need to be followed here. We will also discuss how local residents have coped with urban problems: floods, pigeons, and the ban on wheeled transport.
Plots of Venetian Life
I will talk about the daily life of a typical Venetian: how his day begins, where he goes shopping, where he has lunch and dinner, where he stops for an aperitif, and what sports he practices. I will tell you about the dishes of the local cuisine worth trying, the daily routine of Venetian housewives, the clothing and accessories that are mandatory in the citizens' wardrobes. I will also reveal how things are with transportation, healthcare, education, and other important aspects of life here.
Organizational Details
