About this experience
To truly understand a city, you must immerse yourself in its local life. Let's spend a day in Tbilisi to experience its warmth. Have breakfast with the Tbilisi residents, explore gourmet markets, discover treasures at the flea market, enjoy lunch, and admire the city's symbols. The atmosphere is friendly: we'll talk about cuisine and Georgian life.
What to Expect
Starting the day right! Breakfast with locals
☕ Today, you won't have a typical continental breakfast, nor will you have to search for a Tbilisi cafe that opens in the morning (there are few). We will visit my acquaintances - native Tbilisi residents living in a cozy Italian courtyard. The hospitable hostess will prepare a royal breakfast for you:
- Nadugi - tender creamy cheese with mint, wrapped in the thinnest Suluguni sheets;
- Tomatoes and juicy greens in golden lavash;
- Honey and nuts with Matsoni - thick Georgian yogurt;
- Delicate Megrelian Suluguni;
- Tbilisi jams - watermelon, fig, and walnut. The one made with black walnuts, as dark as night, is tied to a city legend that you will definitely hear;
- Coffee with cinnamon and cardamom, shepherd's tea with savory and mint.
We'll savor the flavors and aromas, talk about all Georgian dishes and products on the table, about life in Tbilisi, everyday peculiarities, and local quirks. No discussions on complex topics or boring dates!
Food and vintage markets
🍅 After breakfast, the immersion into the spirit of Tbilisi continues. We will visit one of the oldest markets in the city. Sheep and brined cheeses from all corners of Georgia, fermented pickles, spices and spicy blends, Churchkhela with forest and walnuts, fruit pastille 'tklapi' - this is an incomplete list of what you can taste and buy here.
🏺 Next, according to the plan, is the Dry Bridge - Tbilisi's flea market. Original paintings and felt handmade items, delicate porcelain and crystal, rare vinyl records, antique books and yellowed maps, colorful semiprecious stones, and silver treasures all beckon you!
Lunch and sightseeing walk
🥘 It wouldn't hurt to fuel up and summarize: for that, we'll sit in a cozy restaurant frequented by locals. Finally, a walk through the Old City awaits you, after which you will decide what the Georgian element of happiness is for you!
P.S. A day in Tbilisi pairs perfectly with a visit to the sulfur baths. I'll tell you which one Pushkin once bathed in and in which Sting recently steamed, and help you book your future visit.

Deception, the excursion description does not correspond at all to the offer: - Italian courtyard is a small yard cluttered with cars typical of a Soviet-era apartment building; - lunch in the family's apartment, with poor wine and disgustingly sweet lemon, none of the listed dishes were offered to ...
