About this experience
We invite you to deviate from the classic route and see Istanbul in a new way. You will head to the Asian part of the metropolis, where you will find a fish market, graffiti, and panoramas of the Sea of Marmara. After a short ferry ride, you will admire the city from the height of the Galata Tower, see the neo-Gothic church of St. Anthony of Padua, and the luxurious Dolmabahçe Palace.
What to Expect
Kadıköy and Moda
The Asian part of the city will reveal a completely different Istanbul to you: calm, authentic, non-touristic, and at the same time very creative. You will visit the colorful market in Kadıköy, where they sell fresh fish, fruits, Turkish pizza, and stuffed mussels. Appreciate the graffiti decorating the houses and enjoy the Sea of Marmara. In the bohemian Moda quarter, you will see many cozy cafes and observe the local youth relaxing in them.
Galata Tower, Dolmabahçe Palace
In the European part of Istanbul, you will climb the Galata Tower and enjoy the city's panoramas from a height of 60 meters. Additionally, you will visit the active basilica of St. Anthony of Padua—the largest Catholic church in Turkey, built in 1912. At the end of the walk, you will find yourself near the largest palace on the Bosphorus—Dolmabahçe. You will learn about the historical events that took place here. Then we will part ways, and you will independently explore the magnificent ancient halls of the palace. I will advise you on what to pay attention to inside: details of the interiors and architecture, from the stone lace of the Treasure Gates to the gilding of the Ceremonial Hall.
