About this experience
Istanbul is a vibrant and multifaceted city, infused with energy and spirit of freedom. You will explore the favorite neighborhoods of locals and discover why Asia in Istanbul resembles Europe so much. Additionally, visit the Sultan's Beylerbeyi Palace, have a cup of coffee in an Ottoman hammam, and admire the colorful, toy-like houses.
What to Expect
Uskudar and Bohemian Moda
In the authentic Muslim district of Uskudar, you will have a cup of delicious Ottoman coffee in an old hammam turned into a coffee shop. Admire the famous Maiden's Tower, visit the Beylerbeyi Palace in the Neo-Baroque style, and learn why it has no kitchen. Then head to the colorful Moda district: uncover the secret of its name, stroll through Armenian and Jewish quarters, and, if you're lucky, see stylishly dressed pensioners skillfully driving their retro cars.
Bright Kuzguncuk and Dinner with a Magnificent View
The Kuzguncuk district is a place that will inevitably steal the hearts of visual artists. You will admire its colorful houses, browse through antique shops, and observe locals casually sipping coffee in small stylish cafes. You will also find a mosque, a church, and a synagogue located close to each other, and visit a real garden where locals grow vegetables for themselves. Finally, dine at a wonderful restaurant near the Anatolian Fortress overlooking the Bosphorus Bridge.
