About this experience
In Istanbul, there are many vibrant neighborhoods that are not mentioned in guidebooks - but they are known and loved by locals. I will gladly be your guide to them! We will take a comfortable car to the colorful Asian part of the city. We will visit the magical Mihrimah Mosque, stroll through the vibrant Kuzguncuk district, and visit the Beylerbeyi Palace. And that's not all!
What to Expect
Mihrimah Mosque. We will visit the mosque dedicated to the beloved daughter of Sultan Suleiman and Hurrem. According to legend, the famous architect Sinan fell in love with the princess after seeing her only once, and erected an entire architectural ensemble in her honor. You will admire the interiors of the mosque and hear the story of Mihrimah's amazing life. If you wish, we will also visit a nearby cafe with wonderful views of the Bosphorus and delicious San Sebastian cheesecake.
Vibrant Kuzguncuk District. You will walk through a colorful district with antique shops, old pharmacies, and workshops. You will observe local residents bathing the beds here: they grow vegetables, fruits, greens with their own hands and sell them right away. And all this on paved streets with colorful houses! For fans of the series 'Ask-i Memnu,' I will show Aunt Eda's flower shop. If you wish, we will visit a cozy cafe nearby and try the Turkish dish Iskender kebab, for which there is often a queue.
Beylerbeyi Palace. This is the summer residence of sultans, not inferior in beauty to the famous Dolmabahce and Topkapi. You will appreciate the magnificent decoration of the palace, its beautiful garden, and enchanting views of the Bosphorus. And all this - without crowds of tourists.
