Walking Tour of Istanbul: From Topkapi Palace to Moda and Kadikoy Districts
About this experience
Istanbul looks different on each bank of the Bosphorus. We will see the city from both sides: starting the walk in the European part - visit the Topkapi Palace, which preserves the splendor of the Magnificent Century. And then we will cross the wide expanse of the strait to the Asian part of the city and meet another Istanbul there - modern, creative, colorful, and youthful.
What to Expect
Topkapi Palace
We will visit the huge palace complex, which was the main residence of the Turkish padishahs. You will walk through its magnificent halls, admire the jewelry of the sultans and their wives, palace furniture and gold-covered thrones, silver tableware, and a magnificent porcelain collection. I will share fascinating stories about the ruling dynasty and tell in detail how the rulers and their harems lived.
By Ferry to Kadikoy
From the European part of Istanbul to the Asian side, we will move by ferry. The Kadikoy district will show you a completely different side of Istanbul - calm, colorful, and very creative. You will visit a picturesque market where fresh fish, ripe fruits, and Turkish pizza are sold. You will see graffiti on the houses and admire the view of the Sea of Marmara from the hills. And in the bohemian Moda quarter, we will stroll along cozy streets with a scattering of trendy cafes and shops.
